The Residential Palace

Built between 1704 an 1733 during the rule of Duke Eberhard Ludwig, the Residential Palace is one of the greatest German baroque palaces still around today: it has got 452 rooms spread over 28 buildings. It is called the "Swabian Versailles" and used to be the residence of the kings of Württemberg. Today, state receptions and cultural events are still held in the palace theatre and in the assembly room of the Residential Palace.
